Multi Cultural festival kicked off

Multicultural festival lovers in Peru have something to cheer about. This Annual event is arranged by Tri-County Multicultural Association (TCMA). The weeklong event has been stretched till eighth July and this will add more fun to this event. A Fashion show has been organized on 1st July, which was the opening day of the event, as told by G. Brar, who is the member of the Festival committee.

Some of the nations which will be represented in this festival are Pakistan, Cuba, Columbia, East India, Africa-Canada, Peru and Vietnam. The fashion show has been held aside from the food fair which has made this festival more appealing to the masses. The organizers are looking for an official Canadian citizenship swearing-in ceremony in the Festival in future. This year will witness an international film festival in collaboration with Yarmouth Empire Studio 5 Theater, having evening and matinee shows schedules to be screened on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday against a nominal fee. There are films for children too.

On sixth July, from 6 pm to 9 pm, there will be a Kid’s Night to be held in a tent at the Collins Street parking area. The admission rate is two dollars. The performers are cheerleaders as well as artists from Atlantic Cirque, MacKenzie School of Dance and KIDZACT. Foodies can gorge on delicacies along with music. The member of the committee said that this is an event which is focused towards family as well as younger audience. On seventh July there will be an International Beer and Wine & Spirits Fair in the tent commencing from 2 pm and will run till 5 pm.
